POST: ICT SUPPORT OFFICER – SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Information Technology or related field from a recognized institution
At least two years’ experience in the implementation and maintenance of IT systems in Windows client/server environment and campus network and telecom systems.
Alternative qualifications acceptable to the Board.
Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Operating Systems, Linux/Ubuntu and MS Office packages.
Proficient in hardware and software installation.
Good methodical and systematic approach to work organization and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skill.
Multi-tasking, time management and ability to set priorities.
Ability to work at odd and flexible hours.
Good interpersonal skills.
KEY DUTIES
To be responsible to the respective Manager or any other designated officer to perform the following:
To assist the Supervisor in his/her tasks so as to ensure high availability, security, integrity and scalability of the NHDC IT infrastructure.
To install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners, client/server and network and telecom systems.
To troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems with network and telecom systems, server equipment, client computers, operating systems, databases, application software, printers and related peripheral equipment.
To respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests through the ticketing system.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
To keep accurate record of IT assets, and maintain the Telephony System.
To carry out daily backup operations.
To design, develop and maintain in-house website.
To install and upgrade anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
To perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
To assist in the design and update of technical documentation.
To perform other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from incumbent in the role ascribed to him/her.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
On a contract basis for a period of one year, which may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance;
Monthly salary of Rs 38,901.00 plus refund of bus fare; and
Other conditions as per employment law.
